COA Virtual Outreach

Hello Senior Community and Friends,

Starting today, The Council on Aging is moving all outreach activities to an online format to help prevent the spread of COVID19 to the elderly in our area. As outreach coordinator, I am used to delivering our programs face-to-face with seniors in the community, so the online format is new to me. My primary goal is to provide educational information and activities to keep our seniors mentally and socially engaged while the world tries to fight a pandemic. Health authorities are advising us to stay at home and avoid gatherings of more than ten people, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t continue to communicate and grow from experiences. The Council on Aging is currently maintaining an online presence through this website, our Facebook page, twitter, and Instagram. You can click on the social media icons on the main page of this website to be directed to each. Please check back frequently for more blog posts and videos.

Thank you,

Melanie Yancey
